\u201cDELIBERATION IN THE PUBLIC POLICY PLANNING PROCES. EXPERIENCES AND FUTURE CHALLENGES\u201d CONFERENCE<\/h1>\n\n\n

On 6 December 2021, dr hab. Adam Mrozowicki and dr Jan Czarzasty presented a joint paper on the state of social dialogue in the pandemic at the international conference \u201cDeliberation in the public policy planning process. Experiences and future challenges\u201d organised, among others, by the Institute of Political Science and Administration of the Pedagogical University of Cracow and the Economic and the Collegium of Socio-Economics of the Warsaw School of Economics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In their presentation entitled \u201cSocial dialogue and the (post-)pandemic socio-economic crisis: the Polish experiences\u201d they summarised conclusions from the first stage of COV-WORK project research on the state of social dialogue in Poland since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic deepened the long-term crisis of social dialogue. The process of consultation of anti-crisis shields was reduced to a minimum, while financial shields were not subject to social dialogue at all. Informal processes of co-determination on public policies and quasi-bargaining at workplace level, often involving ad-hoc workers\u2019 representatives, have gained in importance, which was moreover enforced by the crisis shields.<\/p>\n\n\n
