Adam Mrozowicki, prof. UWr<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Principal investigator \/ consortium leader of the Faculty of Social Sciences of the University of Wroc\u0142aw and the Economic and Social College of the Warsaw School of Economics. Head of the Department of the Sociology of Work and Economic Sociology at the Institute of Sociology, University of Wroclaw since October 2017. He received his PhD degree in social sciences in 2009 from the Centre for Sociological Research at the University of Leuven (KU Leuven, Belgium). He works at the Institute of Sociology (University of Wroclaw) since October 2009. In 2016, he obtained a postdoctoral degree in social sciences in the discipline of sociology, specialization in the sociology of economy at the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Wroclaw. His research interests include sociology of work, sociology of economy, comparative research on collective labour relations, research on precarity, critical social realism and methodology of biographical research. He is the author of the monograph \u201eCoping with social change. Life strategies of workers in Poland\u2019s new capitalism\u2019 (Leuven University Press, 2011), editor of 12 collective works and journal issues, and over 60 articles and book chapters. At the University of Wroclaw he managed research projects funded by the 7th Framework Programme of the EU, the Directorate General for Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion of the European Commission, the Foundation for Polish Science and the National Science Centre in Poland. Chairman of the Scientific Discipline Council of Sociological Sciences at the University of Wroc\u0142aw in 2019-2020 and for the term 2020-2024, Vice-Chairman of the Section of Sociology of Labour of the Polish Sociological Association, member of the editorial board of the Sociological Review and Transfer: European Review of Labour and Research. His academic interests include economic sociology, individual and collective labour relations, social dialogue, organizational culture and comparative studies on contemporary capitalism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A long-standing correspondent of the European Foundation for the Improvement of Living and Working Conditions (Eurofound). Chief expert on labor relations and social dialogue at the Institute of Public Affairs in Warsaw. Research Fellow at the Central European Labour Studies Institute (CELSI) in Bratislava. Juliusz Gardawski<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Prof. Juliusz Gardawski completed his studies at the School of Planning and Statistics (now: SHG) and obtained his Master\u2019s degree in January 1972 on the basis of qualitative research on the mentality of workers at the Pu\u0142awy Nitrogen Plant. In the same year he started work at the School of Planning and Statistics in Warsaw and was soon delegated by his supervisor, Prof. Gilejka, to Moscow for doctoral studies. His doctoral dissertation was devoted to \u201etektology\u201d, an early version of social cybernetics and praxeology by Alexander Bogdanov. After his return he has been continuously employed at the SGPiS\/SGH since September 1975 on the first full-time position (at present on a half-time basis as emeritus professor). He was Head of the Department, then Head of the Faculty, Head of the Department and Director of the Institute. In 2002 he received the title of professor. Beginning in 1986, he has continuously conducted empirical research in economic sociology; in total he has directed and co-directed about 30 studies. In the years 1991-1995 he conducted a series of 5 largest working class surveys in Poland, financed by the Polish branch of the Ebert Foundation. He has researched and continues to research employee circles, SME owners, trade unions, employer organizations, and for over 10 years was an observer of the activities of the Trilateral Commission for Social and Economic Affairs. Until recently, together with Adam Mrozowicki, Ph.D., professor of UWr, he was a leader of research on Polish and German youth (Beethoven grant), in which he analyzed visions of well-managed economy. Recently, he has been researching the diversity of capitalism and patchwork capitalism. He is a founder and editor-in-chief of the semi-annual journal of the Warsaw Forum of Economic Sociology, published by the Warsaw School of Economics and Social Studies. He is the author of about 200 publications including the author and co-author of about 10 books. He is a member of the Committee on Labour Studies at the Polish Academy of Sciences and belongs to several national and international organizations (including PTS and SASE). Author of publications and editor of monographs on the issues of masculinity and femininity and gender in popular culture. She is preparing a doctoral dissertation on femininity and masculinity in the biographies of young precarious workers. Researcher and member of national and international project teams: NCN PREWORK \u201eYoung precarious workers in Poland and Germany: a comparative sociological study of working and living conditions, social acounsciousness and civic engagement\u201d (2016-2020): and NCN \u201eSocial structure, social networks and consumer taste and practices\u201d (2018-2021). Her research interests focus on the sociology of gender and family and qualitative research (biographical method, visual content analysis). Secretary of the Centre for Regional and Borderlands Studies (since 2016) and Secretary of Wroclaw Branch of Polish Sociological Association (since 2015). She received her PhD from University of Wroclaw in 2017 and her dissertation was focused on the identity of the participants of contemporary Polish nationalist movement. Her main research interests concern nationalism, social movements, sociology of borderland, social and political changes in Central and Eastern Europe as well as qualitative research, e.g. biographical method and discourse analysis. So far she was a participant of national and international research projects. In 2018-2020 she was involved in the project directed by Prof. Joanna Kurczewska \u201ePatriotyzmy polskich polityk\u00f3w \u2013 wczoraj i dzi\u015b. Interpretacje \u2013 rewizyty \u2013 nowe rekonstrukcje i konstrukcje\u201d, and in the Polish-German project \u201eRight-wing populism among young Germans and Poles. The analysis of biographical motives for suport for right-wing political parties and organizations\u201d (funded by the Polish-German Foundation for Science). From 2013 to 2016, he worked as an Early Stage Researcher in the Marie Curie Initial Training Network \u201cChanging Employment\u201d. He continued his research in the PREWORK project \u201eYoung precarious workers in Poland and Germany: a comparative sociological study of working and living conditions, social awareness and civic activity\u201d (2016-2019). From 2019 to 2021 he was a project leader of the Polish-German research project: \u201eRight-wing populism among young Germans and Poles: Analysis of biographical motives for support of right-wing parties and organizations\u201d. Her main research interests are in the sociology of social change, social conflicts, the sociology of knowledge and culture, and the sociology of work. She continues these issues by examining the issues of precariousness, work experience, and coping strategies of employees in a (post) pandemic crisis.
